That’s ‘hardcore dancing’, you see all kinds of idiots doing this shit at hardcore and metalcore shows. It’s universally hated everywhere else. Related story: some retard tried pulling this at a metal festival I went to in France and two gigantic Scandinavian black metal dudes almost immediately pulled him out of the pit and physically threw him out of the building the show was being held in #justice

Oh, to the uninitiated I suppose this can be confusing. Sorry, we had a rather large post-hardcore scene in Dallas when I was coming up.
Hardcore dancing is intense when done properly. And stupid. It’s like a fight discipline for moshing. I’ve seen dislocated arms and a few broken noses/bones in mosh pits before.

You’re not wrong. I’ve seen a man in Norma Jean pit get spin kicked in the face. Broke his jaw and knocked him out. Twas epic. It was during a festival so I was taking a nap. The vibrating concrete floor (earplugs) and brick wall during soundcheck woke me up. It’s always entertaining to watch mosh pits.
